Show Up & Shine is boosting attendance while improving student health and happiness for Years 1–8.

A large school assembly in a bright gymnasium, with students and teachers enthusiastically participating in a group wellness activity. The atmosphere is energetic and supportive, with banners and colorful mats adding vibrancy to the scene.

What is Show Up & Shine?

This free attendance initiative is designed to:

- Encourage students to attend school every day

- Celebrate attendance improvement

- Engage whānau in supporting consistent school attendance

The programme is open to all primary and intermediate schools in Canterbury and Waikato (Year 1 to 8) and runs in Term 1.

What is the prize?

The class with the highest attendance rate from each participating school in Term 3 will win a free class trip to their nearest Ninja Valley (Hamilton or Christchurch) to be taken over specific dates in Term 4.

How does it work?

Schools run their own internal attendance challenge during Term 3.

You will be emailed a survey at the end of Term 3 for your whole-school attendance percentage for Term 3 2025 and for Term 3 2026.

Results are due by the end of Week 1, Term 4.

A booking link will then be emailed - the class trip must be taken in the first 4 weeks of Term 4.

Schools are responsible for arranging their own transport.

All students must wear Ninja Valley socks (bring your own or buy on-site).

The winning class (and attendance statistic) may be named in Ninja Valley promotional materials.
